The Wemoon story
Wemoon is a heart-warming example of a work-at-home mother's success. Within seven years it has grown from a small home-based business to a thriving company servicing an international market.

Dissatisfied with ‘disposables’
Dissatisfied with ‘disposables’, and the bulky, two-piece, washable menstrual pads available on the market, Susan decided to design her own reusable pads, concentrating on producing a beautiful yet practical alternative for every woman, including those who would otherwise not consider using washable pads.

The original all-in-one design
‘Wemoon Natural Menstrual Pads’ were born, the original all-in-one design in three different sizes and a variety of colors to suit women’s individual needs. These were closely followed by two accessories—the MoonPurse and the MoonBag—designed to provide a convenient system for menstruation and incontinence, incorporating an elegant way for transporting and for soaking the pads if women choose to return their blood back to the earth.

The Wemoon business grows
In 1999 Susan completed a Business Management Course, the Wemoon name was registered and a powerful ancient symbol, which came to Susan in her meditations, was incorporated into the logo, becoming part of the elegant Wemoon packaging.

By 2001 Wemoon had become too big for Susan’s home and she leased a new business premises in her local town. By this time a valued team of local women were assisting with the manufacturing and administration of Wemoon.

Wemoon goes international
Wemoon web site also went on-line in that year bringing Wemoon to the women of the world. This exposure generated enquiries from overseas, especially from Japan. The Japanese women loved the Wemoon products and this started a new phase of growth as Wemoon developed the Japanese market, producing packaging and promotional material in Japanese and supporting a growing number of Japanese distributors and retailers.

As the women who make Wemoon products we always love to hear customer feedback. It gives us an opportunity to make products that really work for you. Today Wemoon has a variety of products to suit your every need, developed in response to our customers requests. These include Maxi—double absorbent pads for heavy flow or incontinence use, Lights—a discrete and comfortable cloth panti-liner and Nights, our innovative and gorgeous period panties which double as padded incontinence underwear.
